What is H.264
H.264 (also known as MPEG-4 Part 10, or Advanced Video Coding/AVC) is the latest ISO standard for video compression. The H.264 standard provides excellent video quality at substantially lower bit rates than previous standards: half the bit rate of the previous standards MPEG-2, H.263, and MPEG-4 Part 2.
